Returns & Right of Withdrawal

This page explains your statutory right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht) for orders placed in the Little Shine online shop, and how to return an item. It supplements our full Terms & Conditions.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal

For most orders, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your item(s), without giving any reason. To exercise this right, let us know within that period by emailing hello@littleshine.nl, or by using the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page. You then have another 14 days to send the item back to us.

2. Exception for pierced/hygiene-sealed earrings

Because earrings and other jewelry that come into contact with pierced skin are hygiene-sealed products, the right of withdrawal no longer applies once the sealed packaging has been opened or the seal broken, for reasons of health protection and hygiene (art. 6:230p under f, sub 5 BW). This is clearly noted on the relevant product pages. Please inspect an item without breaking its seal before deciding whether to keep it.

This exception does not affect your rights if the item you received is defective or not what you ordered — see section 5 below.

3. Condition of returned items

You may inspect the item as you would in a shop, but may not use it. Items must be returned unused, in their original (unopened, unbroken-seal) packaging where applicable, complete with all accessories and, if reasonably possible, in their original condition and packaging.

4. How to return an item

1. Email hello@littleshine.nl within 14 days of receiving your order, stating your order number and which item(s) you wish to return (or use the model form below).
2. We will confirm receipt and send you the return address.
3. Send the item back to [RETURN ADDRESS] within 14 days of your notice of withdrawal.
4. The direct cost of returning the item is for your own account, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

5. Refunds

Once we receive the returned item (or evidence that you've shipped it), we will refund the full purchase price, including the original standard shipping cost you paid, within 14 days, using the same payment method you used to pay, unless you agree to a different method. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item back, or you have supplied proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier.

6. Defective or incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, this exception and any return-shipping cost above do not apply — contact us at hello@littleshine.nl with photos of the issue and we will arrange a free replacement, repair or full refund, including return shipping costs.

7. Home service appointments

The home ear-piercing service is not covered by the 14-day withdrawal right once performed with your consent — see our cancellation terms for appointments in section 5.4 of the Terms & Conditions.

8. Model withdrawal form

EU law requires us to provide this form. Complete and email it to hello@littleshine.nl only if you wish to withdraw from your order (and it is eligible under section 2 above).
